2026 WORLD VFX DAY

8th dec 2026

2026: DETAILS & HOW TO GET INVOLVED

For the last two years we’ve partnered with VFX studios to host our live event. This year we’re taking World VFX Day to Dublin, Ireland! Thanks to AWS who will be hosting us at their Dublin location, all day on Tuesday 8th December.

2025 & 2024 EVENTS

2026 pROGRAMME

The 2026 edition of World VFX Day is centered around industry development and actions that lead to change. We’ll highlight the key driving forces helping the industry secure growth, new talent, innovation and more – and you are invited to get involved! Anyone can submit a talk idea or speaker for a possible panel.

KEY TOPICS

SUBMIT A TALK OR SPEAKER BY OCTOBER 23RD

Whilst 30-40% of the programme will be curated behind the scenes with event partners and sponsors, supporters are always welcome to submit talk and speaker ideas. To ensure the best chance of success, please read the following guideline:

  • Please ensure the talk is educational, insightful, and covers at least one of the key topics above
  • Studio promotional talks (centered around one studio) are less likely to be chosen and are largely reserved for sponsors
  • Partners: Talks featuring VFX studios and their production clients, or service providers and their clients have a higher chance of being chosen
  • Panels ideas are welcome, even if you only have a topic idea and one speaker – we can help organise other speakers
  • Project showcases: as the event is live via YouTube to the general public, we have to adhere to strict copyright rules, therefore will require the content at least 2 weeks in advance (to run copyright checks)
  • Exclusives wanted! Talks already online are less likely to be chosen. Talks held at private events and not publicly available online are welcome
  • We strive to include at least 40-50% women in our programme, so please bear this in mind when submitting your talk.
  • We welcome new speakers! Many speakers are chosen because they have done talks before – we’re keen to feature new speakers to increase growth opportunities and new voices

We will partner with you for each talk on subject, content, speakers and more, to ensure the best talks for our audience, and coverage and marketing leading up to the main event. Your success is our success!

WHY SUPPORT WORLD VFX DAY?

There are over 120,000 professionals in our industry and over 2,000 studios. VFX is a storytelling partner, creating spectacles but also providing “invisible VFX” to ensure historical accuracy, de-aging, actor and crew safe alternatives, and so much more. However, our industry faces many challenges and we’ve seen great studios close,  and are probably the most misunderstood part of the filmmaking world. Our mission to shine a spotlight on VFX and animation means the humans behind the visuals take centre stage, all year round, but especially on 8th December.

We invite you join us…
