Shaddy has spent fifteen years in production design and concept art for AAA games and films, including ‘The Last of Us’, ‘Call of Duty’, ‘Blue Beetle’ and many more. Now he’s been using the latest tools and tech to create animated shorts that are winning big at awards this year.
As founder and Creative Director of One Pixel Brush, one of the most respected concept art studios in the world, he has been nominated for seven Art Director’s Guild Awards and won two.
Shaddy has spoken globally at dozens of workshops and events including the Game Developers Conference where his talk “Concept Art is Dead” garnered over half a million views.
In recent years One Pixel Brush has pivoted to filmmaking and animation with two wildly different original IP’s both of which he wrote and directed. The first, ‘Christo the Civilized Barbarian’ is an adult animated comedy that has already won or been selected for fifteen awards, including the Annecy Cristal award in June 2025. His next short film ‘Diaboli’ is exactly the opposite in tone and setting. A dark period horror film about the Devil returning to earth to destroy it.
