We’ve visited multiple countries over the last year and spoken with hundreds within our community and there’s a need for more face to face interactions! With many out of work, working from home, or alone, quality time with our colleagues, friends and peers is not what it used to be…
So, we’re starting a new in-person event series! ‘Connects’ by World VFX Day will take place in different cities around the world, bringing together different areas of VFX and animation to discuss important topics, but mostly to just hang out!
There are many benefits to in-person events. Networking expands your social circles, forges deeper connections with peers, and could lead to interesting career and personal development opportunities. Of course, it’s very beneficial for our mental health too.
Kicking things off, we are organising the first ‘Connects’ event in London on Wednesday 17th September 2025, and inviting Pipeline TDs, Heads of IT, CTOs – all those close to the pipeline to keep studio projects running smoothly!
Technical ‘Connects’ is a meet up event for all the unsung tech heroes who are ‘masters of the pipeline’!
This event will be hosted by The Yard VFX and sponsored by Illuma Cloud.
