Join us for this special networking event at Framestore in London on Tuesday 25th March, which is focused on providing support to those currently out of work.
Multiple studios and companies will be there to offer advice, support, talk about their open roles, mentoring etc. We will provide full details in a write up following the event on our website, and via our Instagram stories, for anyone who is unable to attend.

We hosted a series of talks for International Women’s Day and covered topics from navigating the creative process, to VFX technology developments, to parenthood Vs work/life balance.
Our mission is to encourage and host more talks featuring women. Not for diversity, or for celebrating an awareness day, but because we have lots of amazing women in our industry and we’d like to encourage future talent.

NEW YORK
Our industry continues to suffer from job losses, studio closures and reduced projects. We want change and we need change.
World VFX Day’s mission is to spotlight the talent within studios. We have some of the most supportive and talented people in the business!
We’ll take any opportunity to meet the community and bring people together. This is why, whilst our Founder was in New York on vacation, during the Technicolor news, we hosted an impromptu New York meet up.
JAPAN
We had a great week at Siggraph Asia in Tokyo, seeing many industry friends and colleagues.
We also took the opportunity to run World VFX Day from Tokyo, courtesy of our friends at Megalis VFX.

ITALY
World VFX Day helped celebrate the 25th anniversary in Torino for the entire week.
Our Founder, Hayley Miller, hosted a talk with Christine Resch, VFX Producer at Netflix and Heike Kluger, VFX Supervisor, on getting started in VFX, challenges and exciting developments ahead.
LONDON
We’re part of the closing panel at this year’s Rainbow Conference highlighting the highs and lows of our journeys in the industry. We’ll share stories of overcoming challenges, embracing unique perspectives, and thriving in the CGI industry.
In an industry which is constantly changing, the path to success can often seem daunting. We aim to make our attendees feel a renewed sense of possibility, practical advice, and motivation to pursue their paths in the world of CGI.

We’re off to Stuttgart in April for FMX!
World VFX Day’s Hayley Miller is hosting a talk on ‘Preparing for Growth’. Aimed at small to medium businesses, an expert panel will discuss their own experience across operations, strategy, business development and talent whilst in a growth phase.

MUNICH
All day long there will be various presentations about visual effects from all around the world. During the day the live online event will be streamed from the cinema.
The live stream will take place over several hours, catching multiple time zones and with speakers from all corners of the world. This event is truly global, with participants from all over the world, including: Australia, Mexico, Japan, USA, Canada, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Africa, India, and more!

Join us for a casual night of drinks, catching up with friends & networking as we get ready for the rising tide of VFX work. World VFX Day Pub Night is an in-person event that will be held at The Emma Peel Room @ 266 Broome Street, New York, NY, USA. This will be a cash bar event.
Signing up here on eventbrite just helps to get a sense of numbers so the bar can be prepared. The bar does not serve food, but there are plenty of options in the neighborhood to grab something to balance out your night before or after your time at The Emma Peel Room.
