Christina Caspers is is an Executive Producer at the Cinesite Group and Managing Director of Trixter. Before returning to Trixter, Christina was Managing Director at Dark Bay, Europe’s largest virtual production stage. Projects include Netflix’s 1899, The Sandman Season 2, The Family Plan, The Marvels, Loki (Seasons 1 & 2), The Family Plan, I Am Groot, Doctor Strange, Foundation (Season 2), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Black Widow, among others.

Christina is also on the board of the VES German sector and is the co-founder of the Institute of Immersive Media (IIM), a nonprofit organization focused on pre-production, production, and post-production.

 

Delivering Passion into Every Role

From AR/VR to HR to Managing Director and Group Executive Producer, Christina Caspers’ career path has been carved out by her love of the industry and its people. Now at the helm of both Trixter and Cinesite, following the acquisition in 2018, and as co-founder of the Institute of Immersive Media (IIM), Christina embodies a great mix of technical, strategy, and leadership skills.

In our conversation, she shared insights on balancing her diverse roles, the evolving skillsets needed in today’s production landscape, and how stronger collaborations with clients lead to opportunities. Christina also offered a candid perspective on today’s market challenges, from tightening margins to studio closures, while emphasising the need for sustainable practices.

Through IIM, she’s spearheading initiatives to broaden access to virtual production training, particularly for women, and she remains an active voice for the community as part of the VES Germany board.
